Gordes

Gordes, a small perched village, located at an altitude of 300m, the 4th favorite village of the French. It dominates the Luberon with its majestic church. You will get lost in the small streets and take great pleasure in the beauty of the place. Next door is the village of Bories and 4 km away is the Sénanque Abbey, which is not to be missed.
In Gordes, you can also visit the cellars of the Palais Firmin, these are troglodyte caves with underground stairs, cisterns, old seigniorial oil mill.
Gordes Castle dates from the Renaissance, a walkway borders the roofs and the view extends far over the Comtat Venaissin.

Gordes is located 15 kilometers from Isle sur la Sorgue. You can go there and admire the view which is breathtaking. And then go to Sénanque Abbey which is 5 kilometers away. The ideal is when the lavenders are in flower.

The abbey is located in the middle of nowhere between Gordes and Venasque.

There are 4 monks and they have many employees who help with the tasks.

You can stroll through the department store where essential oils, books and various articles will welcome you.

The visit to the cloister is short.

We cannot tour unfortunately.

If you want to have a retreat this is the ideal place. No internet connection, and absolute silence.
